I don't remember what prompted me to put out another series of originals, but I think this strip was one of the ones that came fully formed: the joke / observation that the first thing my mind does when I ask it to observe without judgment is to pass judgment on the request. You all do it, and you know it. This was also a breath of fresh air to be able to put out a classic 'set-up, beat, punch' strip.
The figure, I think, off of a Crumb depiction of Harvey Pekar. I was happy with it.
